VTEL Vista™ MX MediaStation and

e-Control at Comdex Europe 2002

Recos AG, VTEL’s channel partner for Switzerland will be showing the new VTEL Vista MX videoconferencing system at Orbit Comdex Europe in Basel, Switzerland.  In addition, e-Control, VTEL’s innovative, wireless, graphical user interface concept will make its European public debut on the Recos stand (Hall 1.1/Stand E02).

In the VTEL tradition, the Vista MX media station, a PC-based videoconferencing system, delivers all the functionality and high-end capabilities that the VTEL user has come to value from the strong legacy of its predecessor ESA and Galaxy platforms - but now in a highly competitive portable/set-top form-factor.

The Vista MX is shipping today and will soon be joined by its cousin, the Vista VX which has the same basic specification but with a 19” rack-mount form factor ideal for a/v integration projects.

e-Control is a new concept in user interface flexibility. Comprising new hardware and software components, e-Control is the next logical step in the development of the VTEL user interface, combining the ease-of-use of the VTEL graphical tablet, the programmability of the CommandTouch controller and the portability of a wireless handheld touchpanel.  Based upon a 10” (25cm) touch-sensitive LCD panel and built around a Windows CE platform (think of it as a very large screen PDA), the e-Control system allows the user to control the system using the supplied stylus or simply by touching with a fingertip.
